Training seminars 2008-2009

Refreshment for Preachers

So far we have announced 23 training seminars in 14 different locations around the country during the forthcoming autumn, winter and spring seasons. These have been organised by dioceses, districts, synods and churches in partnership with The College of Preachers, but in many cases they are open to 'paying guests'. Booking should be made with the host organisation, not The College of Preachers.

Our new on line learning modules

three new modules

We are now accepting registrations for the College of Preachers' first two on line learning modules. The modules are 'Narrative Preaching' and 'Pastoral Preaching'.

The introductory price is £40.00 per module. For this you get approximately 12 hours of learning material (depending on how quickly you work!); and tuition by e-mail from a College tutor with up to three sermons which you will need to prepare as part of your study.

Whether or not you are a member of the College of Preachers, you can click here for a registration form if you are interested. When you have completed this form, please send it to us with a cheque for £40.00, made out to 'The College of Preachers'. (The address is given on the form.) You will receive a welcome letter after registration, which will contain additional technical guidance that is not in the module itself.

Alternatively, please click here for sample material, both for the two modules now available and for our third module 'Preaching at Occasional Services' which is under preparation. (Please note that you will have to download and save the sample file if you want to try it out properly. You also need to have the right version of Adobe.) When you have sampled the material, we hope you'll feel you would like to register.
